We were in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in the middle of a camping and mountain biking trip when our truck suddenly wouldn't start. With an overlanding build, it's not always as simple as swapping out a part, and we were worried we'd be stranded for days. SilverLake Automotive got us in the very same day. They diagnosed a failed starter, had the replacement part in stock, and then did something that you just don't see very often anymore. Our technician, Michael McFarland, stayed late after hours to finish the repair so we could get back on the road the very next day. He absolutely didn't have to do that, but he did anyway. That kind of dedication and pride in your work is rare, and it made all the difference for our family. What impressed me even more was that Michael understood the added wiring complexity that comes with an overlanding vehicle.
