I paid for an expensive diagnostic and had them go ahead and "fix my problem." Almost 500 dollars later, my problem still exists, check engine light is back on and they failed to mention or address the real problem in the diagnostic (cylinder misfire). I could have used that 500 dollars to fix the actual problem.

I am from out of state, experiencing my first vehicle problem. I was referred to Silverlake auto repair by both my niece and a local business. How lucky I was! They were immediately with me, checking my car, evaluating the cause and damage to my vehicle. They not only explained my cars problem, they showed me. They gave me an estimate of the repairs, and that was what it ended up costing. They gave me quality service and treated me like family. Great first time experience - Took a recently purchased (used) car to them with a TC leak. Travis & Fred explained the process well and managed expectations correctly. They seemed very focused on keeping costs to a minimum while maintaining the expectation that the job is done correctly and to a high standard. When the time comes again, I will take my truck to Silverlake.
