I was having some trouble with a rough engine idle a while back. Took it to Silverlake on Mullen and they were unable to find anything to indicate a problem with the engine. Fast forward a couple months and I blew a head gasket. I’d say without a doubt that the tough idle was the start of the gasket going. Needless to say I was annoyed they dropped the ball there. Every shop in the area was booked for weeks and without a work vehicle I was high and dry. I decided to replace the head gasket myself and after completing the job I had some issues with start up. I initially thought it was the timing and really couldn’t motivate myself to rip the engine apart yet again to figure it out. I called Ryan and explained the situation and he said he would take a look at it in a week or so when he could fit me in. So I got the vehicle towed to Silverlake on W. Hanley and figured I wouldn’t hear back for at least a week or more. I got a call from Ryan the next day saying my truck was running and would be ready to pick up tomorrow. Turns out some connectors weren’t plugged in and a couple hoses and bolts including some grounding wires weren’t properly connected. Lesson learned and even though it cost me a bit of $$ it was less than his initial estimate and I got my car back way faster than it thought. Thanks for getting me back on the road guys. I know where I’ll be taking my car next time something goes wrong.

They were very thorough. They send you a link that shows which items need to have service required (ex: cracked windshield) and a picture of the problem. They have suggested items and items that are good to go. Everything verified with a picture. Definitely will use them again.

I recently brought my older Jeep in for repairs and maintenance work that were beyond my skill level. This was my first time using Silverlake and was taking a chance. I am very happy with their service team from the first contact by phone all the way through to picking up my Jeep. The work to be done was laid out with pictures and cost estimates. The work was done quickly and efficiently. When I was notified that my Jeep was ready for pickup I was told the work didn’t cost as much as estimated and was about $250 less. I appreciate the honesty snd the guarantee placed on their work. I will need additional work on my Jeep and will be going back. Silverlake, keep doing what your doing, you give auto maintenance and service a good name.

Thank you to Ryan, I purchased a truck from a friend who was a former customer and there was a rattling when I would hit a bump in the road. I finally found it had a missing nut from the rear shock, the history showed it had new shocks put on last December. It must have vibrated off, I took it in to see if they could help me and Ryan was polite respectful and had one on in less than 15 minutes even though they were super busy. So thank you Ryan for your Stand up Service.

Always like coming here! The staff are friendly and honest, especially Julia. They take the time to explain repairs and they offer options to fit your budget and needs. On my last repair, they even reduced my bill after it took less time than they originally quoted! Been a customer for a few years and will keep coming back.
